Domain name (also called a URL)

The domain name is the Web address of a Web site, such as www.AllureMediaDesign.com. Domain names are usually registered (purchased) on a yearly basis and cost around $10 per year.

The domain name and hosting account do not need to be purchased through the same company.

Once a domain name is registered the company through which it was registered will send out information to you on how to access your domain name. Be sure and print this information out and keep it.
